My brother had the priveledge of breaking a SSS Stanza engine mount so the engine dropped about 20cm on one side, punchering the oil filter... but being a Datto motor it drove perfectly to a service station about 5km away.... I'd never seen a 5km trail of oil until then. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mark <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, March 24, 2003 6:20 PM Subject: Re: For anyone who's interested.... My brother had the same problem one night - SSS Pulsar. He called me, as he had no idea what was wrong......he said...."the oil light came on so i pulled over straight away". When I got there, Oil was sprayed from one end of the engine bay to the other...... He had put the car in for a service that day....and the mechanics (at a dealership!) put the wrong filter on it - which had popped off. I guess the apprentice was on that day! We put a new filter on, and filled her up with oil.... and off he went. Of course the next morning, he went straight back to the dealer, and they re-imbursed him for the new filter/oil and did a full degrease of the engine bay and underbody of the car.....Luckily, there was no eveidence of damage to the engine...and the car is still running perfectly 2 years later. --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
