All of the first 240Z sold world wide had 4 speeds and rubber matts.
I'm going to disagree with you an leave it at that - all Australian delivered Z's came with CR 5-speed GB. 4-speed was a factory option, but I've never seen a car with a 4-speed GB.
Oh, and I owned an early 240Z for a while (RHD car #388), it had the original drive train...and had a CR 5-speed GB type FS5C71B.
