 Sounds like you may have dislodged some crap inside the tank. I haven`t heard of Optimax causing starving problems (but have heard that it can damage rubber hoses/components). Drain the tank and blow out the lines with compressed air ( just make sure you disconnect hose from carby end), replace the fuel filter and try again.  If you want the best filtration use a metal cased filter to suit an EFI system. These filter down a lot further than the normal fuel filters. I used one on my old race car with twin 45`s and the bowls were always spotless. I prefer to use Mobil 8000 or BP Ultimate down here in Vic myself.  Kris.

 hey,ran my datsun 1600 in a supersprint at willowbank on saturdaycar ran ok, bit lean at high revs, but what can u do ?anyway I decided that instead of filling up with LRP i would use Optimax with a lead replacerI put about 22 ltrs of optimax in a nearly empty tankfrom that point onwards the car wouldn't run properly & kept starving for fuel & stallingthere no reason that the optimax would cause a problem with the car is there ?I took the fuel filter off & found a small piece of green plastic in itI also noticed that the fuel did not seem to be gravity feeding freelyfrom the tank as i assumed that fuel should gush out of the fuel linewhen there is nothing capping it ?I put some more LRP into the tank, but didn't seem to helpat this stage I am going to drain & clean the tankas I am assuming that something is blocking the fuel lines from free flowingCheers Jeff
