Heath, Mobil 8000 is 98 RON as well. Get the pamphlet with the fuel if you can. They say its a high molecular weight fuel but has lots of light fraction cleaners in the fuel as well to stop injectors gumming up and clean up old injectors. Its good stuff. I haven`t heard of Optimax causing starving problems (but have heard that it can damage rubber hoses/components).   Drain the tank and blow out the lines with compressed air ( just make sure you disconnect hose from carby end), replace the fuel filter and try again.    If you want the best filtration use a metal cased filter to suit an EFI system. These filter down a lot further than the normal fuel filters.
