Hi Mark, I went to the nats today. There were a couple of 4s there, but as you would expect mostly 8s. Spend most of the day in the dyno room, a Bluebird with an FJ20 pulled 617hp (or 612? not sure) at the rears on his second run, but then dies when it idled down. When it cooled down the motor wouldnt turn over and the sparkplugs wouldnt come out - sounds major! While I was in the room I saw 2 1600s hit the dyno, the lowest figure I saw from a 4 was ~380hp, all FJs. During that time there were only a handful of 8s that beat those sort of figures. Didnt really stop the "shitbox 4 cylinder" and "stupid little buzzbox" comments.
