That's right Zac. Rick, the US boys do cutting etc for backyard
VH30E conversions, the Experiment Engineering kit is done exactly the way
that the Stu Wilkins kit is done here. Cutting up xmambers generally is not
the done thing in OZ. The guides for the control arm retaining pins on the
1600 are tapered so they also have to be ground out and re-welded in the
correct way and you have to be careful that they are welded back in dead
straight. That all there is too it for a FJ20/1600
xmemeber.

Are you sure about that Rick? I've never seen
it done like that. In the popular off the shelf kits, I am pretty sure that
they just ground off the washers that hold the control arm studs in place
then moved the stud around to the opposite side and rewelded it in
place. Then refit it to the car and LCAs.
