I noticed that and it appears like it has some surface rust under the trim on that back door on that side. In any case, $2700 is as low as the dude will go.

I've found that the older MB paint is pretty resilient.  I had one of the 
classic dings in the top of the fender on a 108 taken out without damage.  
Worst case, the lines of the car are right and the paint has some cracks.  
That's easier to hide than the dings.
