A couple weeks ago I dropped some cans at a recycler close to my work, and their signs say they can only take home/office HVAC stuff if you bring in a receipt for the purchase of the new equipment that replaced the old. Sounded kind of desperate to me. I'll bet I can gin up a pretty good looking receipt on my laptop in about 10 minutes.
