+1 for what Wilton says. IF you can get the old tumbler out, you can
turn the switch with a large flat screwdriver as Kaleb said. You can
drive it that way untili your new tumbler comes in. You have to order
the tumbler from MB. They will want to see a copy of your title or
registration, DL etc. before they will order the key and tumbler.

Yes, what Wilt says. It;s an easy job. Just order the cylinder from MB.

Better to have new tumbler ready when ya turn it and take about 20
seconds to slip old one out and slip new one in.

+1 on that method. It took me a week of Tri-flow and the buzzy sander
on the key head to give me one last turn of the key on the R107. Once
fired up, drive directly to a reputable lock smith

You're going to wish you'd never turned it to "lock" when it didn't
want to go.
Wilton got lucky, attached his key to a vibrating detail sander and
buzzed the
cylinder wafers into the 'unlocked' position one last time so he could
remove
the cylinder.
Mitch.

Well I have a problem with my ignition switch when I got home tonight.
I had trouble turning the switch to the off position, I had to apply
unusual pressure to get it to the off position. Yes the transmission
lever was in the park position. I put the key back in and tried to
turn it to the accessory position, but it wouldn't turn at all. I
tried my spare key with the same result, could not turn it out of the
off position. Will need to see if I can the whole assembly out. Is
there a way to get the tumbler set out besides turning it to release
position to insert the release pin.
Not sure what I need to do next? I guess it is possible to wear the
switch to a none work condition.
