US model W116 had fog lamps under the bumper, four 5 3/4" round sealed beams,
bezels that made the lights look sort of flush, and the first MBZ turbodiesel
sold anywhere. I don't believe there was ever a non-turbo S class diesel
sold in the USA. (and IIRC, the W116 300SD was a North America only product)
If they drove it around floored, it must have been going 110mph or more.
