I can vouch for the 100 mph (plus) top speed at about 4600RPM's across Montana (no speed limit days). In my '80, the IP was tweaked.......

The Euro headlight conversion was popular with many owners.

The W116 turbodiesel engines produced in 1978-79 were rated at 110 SAE hp while the '80 engines were rated at 120 SAE hp (all were 617.950 engines) and the 617.951/952 engines (used in 123/126 chassis cars) were rated at 123 hp.
