My EMS is a 1977 also. Did you have to cut a notch in the bar to get a full 90 degree swing inside the caliper? I think my ruler might be 1 1/4" wide. It definitely needed the notch. Was yours a sunroof car from the plant in Belgium? How rusty was it?
