For engraving scaled text on a planar surface, your code generator can
output Ellipses as arc segments (smf question #106) or the ellipses can
actually be exploded in arc segments forcing them to be coded as such.

Yikes, that will also scale all the arcs into ellipses (sp) and they will 
post out as polylines. Not a bid deal if your projecting onto a surface, 
but mabey if your engraving on a plane and have a slower control...I like 
Gene's second suggestion of tweeking the font file.
