Mark,

How about setting your Prof_Top to 0, Clear to 0.05, and using a Point to
retract your tool when you want to jump over a clamp?

this may seem like a dumb question from someone whos been using s-c for a
long time but here goes.we do a lot of engraving and once in a while i will
have to bring the z up to clear a bolt or clamp.i would always set the clear
for this tool at 1 inch or more only when i had something to clear otherwise
i would leave it at .05.this makes for some wasted movement because the tool
is always going up an inch or more.what is the proper way to leave the clear
at .05 and just jump up to clear the obstruction?

thanks
