Nope.  It might have different power supply connector(s), different 
power requirements, different CPU slot, different videocard 
connector, etc.

You might need a new videocard if you aren't careful and don't get 
another motherboard that has the same vidoecard slot and can accept 
the videocard you currently have.  Slot alone won't tell you that, 
either, because for instance there are several AGP slot speeds.

The short answer is: specs.

I'm sure you want a more detailed answer than that, but to get it you 
need to do some research and then ask a more detailed question.  A 
really good way to do this would be to post a link to what 
motherboard you have, and another link to a possible replacement 
candidate, and then ask one or a few specific questions.
