There hasn't been enough info to know what kind of motherboard you're
replacing (or at least, i didn't see anything).
The Compaq ST5210NX came out in August '07, and its motherboard is
described on:

The best deals I've found for an exact replacement were at:
http://www.itpartsdepot.com/products/HP/NEW/945GCTHM.html
http://www.wdpi.com/products/HP/NEW/945GCTHM.html
who both want a little over $80. However, it's not as expandable as I'd
like, and of course uses 2007 technology and parts. Since the current
one works except for the 1 GB limit, what I think I'll do is limp along
with it as is, since I can still do everything I need although it might
take longer, and start saving up. I figure in a couple of months, I'll
get a decent deal on a newer tower (which should avoid figuring out
which parts will work together), maybe something a few months old and
refurbished.

P.S. Sorry I had to miss today's lunch, but I'm still battling the virus
that's going around.
