Yes and no.

It does display color image files, just not in color. The screen is one of
those e-ink ones that is only black and white, but it will display images
from the pdf. Page breaks can be a little funky depending on how the pdf
file was created. It deosnt render each page as a page the way a pdf viewer
on the computer does- it takes the text and shows it on the screen, so one
8.5 x 11 page may be shown over 3 or 4 screens.

It is what it is. Its not a computer, but if you mainly want to view
documents it does it. I like storing downloaded manuals for equipment I use
at work so i have a whole library easily with me instead of having to go
find or download and print them when I need them. I also like putting
instructions or how tos for fixing computer problems on it so I can read the
instructions on the nook while I work on the computer, that way I can keep
the instructions handy even if I need to reboot or login/logout etc.

Hope that all is helpful. If you go to Barnes and Noble they have one you
can use as a demo to see what it is and how it works.
