I'd try to think of this as an employer would, and there are different kinds of employers.

Big ones might canvas all the sources, or just wait for headhunters to give them the leads.

HH's are definitely on linkedin.

Little companies are looking for somone good, but w/out so much risk.

I think they both converge on on the "ask all your friends" tactic.

Btw, where in FL is your friend?
