I've noticed. See above. Actually, I just put a cordless trackball on the
system and find an almost immediate improvement in my very marginal ability
to do anything at all. Gestures are different (meaning non-existant) of
course but I find I am overall better at what I want to do with the
trackball. This OS just bites completely.

I have heard a few things along these lines and don't pretend to understand
them. I have also heard that defragging and disk indedxing needs to be
disabled. Not sure why, but I am OK with that.
