I can tell you that the Revlight is really nice on the track. I can see when 
the LEDs go from green to yellow to red, and when I start to hit reds I know 
it's almost time to shift but not quite. If I don't see yellow, I'm off cam. If 
I do ignore everything, it starts to flash at redline anyhow. It's actually 
really good to judge how a lap's going, if I don't get both red LEDs coming 
into turn 10 I know I didn't do well on 9 or I chickened out on braking.

You wouldn't accept a speedometer that simply lit up a big red light if you 
went over 65 mph or an oil pressure gauge that only shows you have a minimum of 
7 psi pressure, why would you accept that behavior in a tach?

It's no coincidence that I have three cars in my garage with Revlights, or that 
I tracked down a stash of them so we could sell them through FM. There's a big 
difference between a shift idiot light and a sequential tach.
