hi,

my bad rebuilt motor died and will ave to come out..i am expecting it is
shot and guess that it will need to be replaced. since miata's are not the
most
common car to find, i wonder what other 1.8 motors would fit with a minimum
of conversion work.

tia,

I'm using a 1997 block & head (all internals), with other parts swapped over
from my original 1995 engine so all of the 1995 electronics will work. I
used the 1997 intake, the 1995 coil packs, removed the 1997's cam angle sensor
dohickey... It's all good. The '97 engine had just under 42K miles when I
bought it.
the '97 trans came with it, so my 202K mile car is quite Young at Heart.
