Yes, just like or democratic officials, they have to be reminded periodically that they are not omnipotent and us mere mortals have a say in the process.

The big issue is that most people in a HOA don't want to be bothered. They think that if they just ignore it then it will go away.

I think Larry's point is the HOA may have been elected to that position by homeowners (and guessing at it, I bet not by that particular guy at least) at some point, but that doesn't mean they still act in the best interest of the actual homeowners.. sorta like our government but on a smaller scale.

Larry, you are making it sound like the HOA and the homeowners are two different entities. The HOA is the homeowners, and the homeowners are the HOA. I'm cutting off your kool aid! ;-)
