Yeah, the point I was getting at is that (assuming his cylinders can hold pressure) if he really wants to check the seals and guides without having to pull the head he can pressurize the cylinder to hold the valves up and pull the valve seals that way. Check? Dunno... I've been toying with the thought of doing mine by pressurizing the cylinders with the head on the block. Problem I have is that I don't think my rings will hold enough pressure to make this feasable.
