I've known donni to rebuild tube amps; still does it for local old school
bands...

Any electronics types out there? NPC

A good rule when powering up unknown tube gear is
to start up using a rheostat.

Good luck!

I've been getting back into vintage tube stereo stuff,
just finished (I think) restoring my second Fisher 500B. First one was bought
new by my Dad in 1962-3. Question is: Is it really as simple as hooking up
neutral and power the way they were and adding ground wire to chassis if I
want to convert to three prong plug? Or will that make the smoke
  leak?
