By the time it get as bad as Lovelock says you'll be lucky not to be in survival suits whether on board the space-craft I'm knocking up in the shed, or left behind. Come to think of it, it may be that the graviton pulse my machine leaves behind will actually leave nothing behind. The algae appear as hopeless as my own quest - tiny creatures blitting out into vast unknown - yet they survive. We will survive the vast speeds on account of an anti-time torus and be on Grimweather 3 before you know it - or anyone else for that matter as we do not know the speed of gravity. Enough of this dissension Pollard, or the last words you ever hear may be, "Light the blue touch-paper then Gabby". These, of course, may be the last words anyone hears, whether on board Blunderbird 2 or not. Don't forget the sandwiches and wind- breakers for the trail on Blackpool Beach old man.
