"...Dali cried because he knows that the way to enlightenment is too difficult, for enough of mankind to learn, and would never be able to bring about the transcendence that Buddhism seeks as its flavor of Unity. ..." tink
Well Tink, that is one possibility...and, knowing his understanding of what a human being is, I would strongly suggest that it doesn't fit at all his mindset. Well, that is a little harsh...it does point towards how difficult the process is and how wonderful IF it could be achieved any easier. The cosmology of Tibetan Buddhism includes countless galaxies and worlds for us to inhabit for as long as it takes…eons if need be. So, for him, there is no ‘impossible’ to it at all nor any rush…as the old USA TV commercial said: “You can pay me now or you can pay me later.” . The view from endless epochs of reincarnation…into and out of so many different possible states is quite different from what many in the West hold today. Since it all ends for us some day if not soon… why care? Such a different mindset! I won’t bore you with much of the lore since you haven’t asked, but it is quite interesting for many.
