We have direct access to the truth of scripture always.

That atheists have lost awareness of those processes and that is the
lose they refer to. Because they have lost access to spiritual truth
they prefer to consider that spiritual truth to be not real in an
effort to placate their ego and to cloak their ignorance in a facade
of respectability.

Also, for atheists to focus on 'copies of copies' is a mistaken
extension on their dependence on citation and the opinions of others.
They have lost all notion of their ability to do their own spiritual
inquiry.
