Rule has often meant control of populations by religion or laws/ documents. It has been dictated through power. At this point, I don't believe my government or fellow voters have my best interests at heart- nor MSM- nor celebrities. On the other hand, I feel blessed to have been born an American and had the courage of my immigrant grandparents. How unlike the newcomers those homesteaders, loggers, miners seem. The challenge of early Christians and barbarians doomed a great empire. The barons challenged John I with the Magna Carta. Henry VIII challeged the RCC. The middle class challeged aristocracy. We challenged the British Empire- though we said we would save it down the line. Now Obama is fleeing to Russia rather than appear at Jackson's funeral- let him take his i-pod of tunes.
