I agree with your picture of God, Manfranco. I think he is the life force within us and around us, infinitely. And I think that this is where it all begins with each religion, and then individuals take over and make it more and more different and complex to fit the needs of their culture. In regard to God pleasing, my opinion is that the expression of God is love, in all forms.
This God within us is "a respecter of no man," and to me what this biblical phrase means is that he takes us at our exact word and intent. Because we are human, we are not always operating from the God within us or our highest self, but sometimes from our finite instinctual or egotistical natures. If we are feeling fear because we think we don't have enough then God will give this to us, not enough. If we are feeling hate because "others" have more than we do or do not recognize us for the great people we think we are, then God gives us more to hate. His love gives us what we feel and think, but gives us more - a higher calling. Within the hate and fear that we have drawn into our experience with thoughts and feelings of hate and fear, there will always be a higher calling from God toward love. If we have the wisdom to hear the call, we can move out of our smaller selves and into our higher calling. Let those with ears hear.
