Jim, the gentle ways are wonderful. But much of it, most of the time, is also a sham continued from feudal eras, practised as class symbols and perpetuated by people who reap its benefits in the status quo. In the view of large mass populations, the political and social correctness is established on the misery of the marginalised and the dispossessed.
Whilst " political gerrymandering " is definitely in the middle of things, mass extremist behaviours are also expressions of the historical demand ... that things should be set right ! Of course, as they perceive. The virtue of moderation must lie in its effect, in pushing the cart of change forward.
