Observer
Have you ever asked on of these evangelistic types to prove that such
as a holey spirit actually exists?
Or that such as any spirit exists, or to prove that a soul exists? Or
to prove that any of the metaphysical claims of the bible are true or
that the bible is actually the inspired word of a god?
If you have not, then Why not? For anything taught with such certainty
there must exist some scientifically verifiable substantiating data.
No? And if not what is the temptation to believe all about.
I ask the following of all of those who say the believe.
Please provide scientifically verifiable substantiating data for
either the EXISTENCE of or any ACT of any god.
Strangely I have been repeating this for years and no christian, jew
of muslim has ever attempted a response, not even the priests and
preachers.
Oh well.

Of all the thoughts that control us most it is the fictions we produce
in and of our own minds that are the most insidious. By that I mean,
we can not ingest or in any way meld the outside world with our minds.
We are forced to produce mental models of what we think we perceive
through our senses.
It is however a fact that all that we have believe we perceived
previously and all of the extrapolations made from those that have
become our habituated fictions which form the lenses of our mind and
alter all incoming information to see that they are easily stored and
are supported by our previous fictions.
We even have habituated fictions for the automatic rejection of new
data that we find disturbing.
I have said that these fictions are the most insidious and yet they
are or can be the most liberating of our experiences. Once we realize
that every thing we believe is a fiction we free our selves to alter
them and to thereby make them much more useful on our never ending
trip from greater to lesser ignorance.
The key to such of course is an understating of the principles of
scientific method which provide the only sure guide to useful
information.
Here is to freedom of the mind, to the liberation of humanity through
education and the eradication of ignorance, superstition, and other
poorly thought out fictions which for thousands of years have
enslaved, terrorized, and extorted from us all of what we could have
been had we been left in peace to maturate.
Here is to the advancement of science which heals the sick, which can
produce a world of abundance to be shared and from which we can even
learn to live in peace through the newly reorganized social sciences.
Here is to humanity!
