They have voluntarily become part of the global economic community and as such are subject to it's influences and directions. The only way they can stay a totalitarian dictatorship is to withdraw back into isolation and even that won't work for long. Our entire world is changing in major ways -- economically and socially -- and we can no more crawl back into our dank and narrow past than can the sun and moon change their path through the skies. However, this is not to say that China will change her attitudes that fast. They have joined and may even rule over a free-market economy (since they are the 1.5 billion pound gorilla in the room) but she will still try to dominate by using finances rather than bullets and bombs, which may be a more effective means of dominance. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups ""Minds Eye"" group.
