Also, as we rarely see the ultimate outcome of any event, to view an
event as 'evil' is bound to be a view from ignorance (the ignorance of
the ultimate outcome). And, with respect to existence being key, I
couldn't agree more. That's why the ontological argument is, in my
view, FAR stronger that the cosmological argument and will lead one
towards absolute truths, while the cosmological (first cause) argument
leads one to relative truths.

Well, again, a limited context might view Hitler's existence as bad/
evil. But, if we learn from that and learn to never act that way
again, then the outcome will be good, as he (Hitler) will have served
as a good 'bad example'.
