Well I think prayer in any form, in any religion, is an admission that we ourselves are not capable of or unwilling to directly effect change in a situation, therefore we call upon, IMO, a perceived notion of a higher power that facilitates change upon our calling, when in fact all indications of such a thing happening is literally non existent in the history of man, that is, other than fairy tale books that have been written, of which we have no personal or contemporary account of, validation of nor any present day re-occurrence of.
