This is not a statement of value, rather an observation, based on my (limited) knowledge of the subject and my even more limited personal experience. On the other hand, I can neither hear mathematics nor taste astronomy. (I must say I find the image fascinating and wonderful and thank you for it.)
I tend to think that, as in so many things, there are no firm divisions between those termed autistic and neurotypical, rather that it's a matter of degree.
