I seem to have totally left out another category: that of the general concepts. As I was breaking it down and looking at the issues to write, it occured to me that many examples are -at their root- simply extensions of some basic negatives. So essentially I can give specifics or touch the concepts. The primary negative is the removal of power from the individual or the secular society. Each abrahamic religion has the concept that the believer is dross or corrupt. Original sin is the single most anti- human concept ever and it permeates these faiths. Far too many people believe that they are nothing without god, when the opposite is true, god is nothing without them. People that feel they are worthless, live like they are worthless. The common phrase among christians now is "you can't buy your way into heaven." Because they aren't full of human self worth, they must beg for worth from their god. This leads to positive actions like taking care of people, working for education of all, eradicating disease, etc., not being worthy on their own. These people that sacrifice and struggle to make existence better for the rest of society without doing it in some religious cause, are simply trying to buy their way in rather than demonstrating what a truly grand and beautiful thing is humanity and our interests. This is an enormous negative.
