the problem i see with this idea, is it applies a universal wisdom and 
knowledge to all humans on the basis of the year they live in.  If that were 
true, all people (or at least most) alive today would be smarter or wiser or at 
least more in tune to the world around them, than Aristotle, Socrates, Buddha, 
or a great number of others.  including Descartes.  I think so, therefore it is.
