What I put forward regarding the Pharoah at the time of Moses has
nothing to do with Jewish/Hebrew history but modern research. I'm
absolutely convinced that it was Amenhotep III, as no other scenario
even comes close to aking sense; it even fits in closer to the
Santorini explosion because it's closer to mid-second millenium BCE
than the Ramesses/Seti/Ramesses scenario.

As for the gold...I could only guess. If I guessed incorrectly as to
how it may have moved about, I don't reckon I'll lose much sleep over
it. Probably because one thing's for sure...NONE of it reached MY
pocket. ;-)

As far as 'outsiders' go, though, how about the Carthaginians? They
were nearby and rather formidible; it's possible they raided a bit. I
don't think the Hittites reached THAT far south, so I think we can
rule them out. But we KNOW that several tombs had already been
raided, as the evidence of previous plunder was obvious on their re-
discovery. As for the MAIN cahes of gold, heck, I still say it's
anybody's guess and that's all I was putting forward...my guesses.
Crikey, we can barely guess at what happened 3 years ago (do you
remember what you had for breakfast on 31-Dec-2007?), even 30 years
ago is blanketed by political broom-sweeping and 300 years ago??? As
for 2300+ years ago, we don't stand much of a chance, as every day
that went by wasn't recorded very acurately. It could be that the
Aztecs and Incas got THEIR gold from the Egyptians via many a years
marketeering.
