Well Rigsy the problem I see is even though I have not read the book the
history of the Jews according to the Torah is turning out not to be accurate
so I have reason to question the basic validity of the jewish history
especially if that becomes one of the sources. especially if that covers the
ancient history..

Persian gold came from mines in the area,, I saw some actual working mines
that have been in existence and functioning for over 6,000 years and this
mine was on the northern edges of the old Persian empire.

In the old egyptian empire where gold was not the center of commerce it
would be very difficult to hide plundered gold,, unless you were part of a
closed society that separated itself from the rest of the population..
unfortunately that exactly fits the jewish population even today and was
part of the reason for their problems in Germany pre WW II. you see the same
problems occurring with the muslims and other sectarian groups.

Hmmm the only real reason I can envision the egyptian army being mobilized
would be if they were chasing tomb robbers which was a very very serious
offense in ancient times.
