Allan, Ramesses the Great/Seti I/Ramesses II was Hollywood!

The Pharoah at the time of Moses was Amenhotep III. His eldest son,
Prince Tuthmose (Tutmosis) WAS Moses. Although most 'scholars' say
that Crown Prince Tuthmose 'predeceased' his father, I don't think
so. The 'Tut'/'Tuth' prefix was a testimony that he was dedicated to
Thoth (although he was a Priest of Ptah, the Creator God), the rest,
'Mose/Mosis' was his proper name (Musa/Moshe). When they discovered
Crown Prince Tuthmose's tomb, his body was NOT entombed there, in
fact, the only mummy IN the tomb was his pet cat. I think that's most
likely because Moses LEFT Egypt and worshipped a different God. This
would NOT have gone down well in Egypt and, subsequently, the poor boy
was disinherited. When Amenhotep III died, his son, Akhenamun, who
had seen the power of Moses' God, became the first monotheistic
Pharoah of Egypt changed his name to Akhenaten. His son, Tutankhamun
(originally Tutankhaten!!) didn't last long as the old priests wanted
their jobs back and Egypt was back to being polytheistic.

The Hebrew (not Jewish!!) slaves would hav ehelped do all sorts of
things, but they weren't slaves forever. The Egyptian dynasties go
farther back than 400 years prior to Amenhotep III. And, of course,
one would think that it wasn't only the Hebrews that they enslaved
over time. Nubians and Abyssinians would have been subjugated as
well. But, the Egyptians themselves would have been honoured to help
build a pyramid for a well-liked Pharoah.

The Jews were in Goshen, on the Eastern side of the Nile Delta. As
for the gold, I think it was stolen and used by those who raided tombs
and, of course, by those who conquered Egypt. Think Alexander!! He
would have distrbuted much gold around Greece and the Ptolemaic
dynasty that he created would hav esold a lot of it to keep the
peace. I reckon most of the Egyptian gold was gone by the time of
Cleopatra. And, then, one has to think of the Islamic invasions and
Crusader invasions that took place after that. Plenty of time to
spoil.
