They were patriots- because we won the war and independence with the help of France. Loyalists went back to Britain or up to Canada during and after the war. If we had lost that war, most likely they all would have been hanged or shot.
Perhaps anarchist sounds like pinko because that was the tactic of Bolsheviks. I suppose the USA could possibly turn into the USSA. So- what should Native Americans who resisted be called? Or Mexicans in the Spanish American War? Or the Confederacy? The victors decide who the "good" guys are and write the history. It is up to our president, governors, mayors, police and national guard to maintain civil order, is it not? Not to provoke disorder as Obama has done.
