To change a culture from outside is very difficult but it can be changed if
some members of that group strive to change their society. This also
depends upon the flexibility of the concerned culture , I find that to
change the muslim mindset would be a very difficult task. No matter how
hard you try a sizable section of the muslims wouldn't agree, and what is
more the persons who are making this humanitarian effort would meet with a
painful death. Such are the fundamentals of Islam that they cannot be
challenged, it would amount to sacrilege.
As far as the Hindu culture is concerned it is very flexible and amenable
to change if influential members of the society take it upon themselves the
task of social change. As for the present, fundamental viewpoint is arising
among the Hindus and the government of India is not speaking up, because
the party in power depends upon the religious sentiments of the people.
However I have faith in the current Prime Minister of India, in that he
realizes the equation in the world today and will keep the zealous members
of society under restraint.
