I saw it after I started aucat in server mode while vlc was running.
Perhaps vlc is grabbing some other device? I don't know if that
makes sense. Repeating what you did above gives me the same result
as what you saw.
I'm not in front of my computer right now, so I'll have to try this
again when I get home and in front of a terminal. Maybe vlc was
loaded into memory, but not streaming anything. Oh well, when I get
home I'll try to reproduce where I saw "stopped input" and aucat
didn't die.
