friend did it for me.  He got it down to about 7 mA, but could not get the
reading to drop any further while turning the adjusting screw. So we left it at 7mA. His diagnosis was the O2 was bad and hampering the adjusting down to the
proper 2-3mA.


it could also be a bad temp sender, either thermo time or just coolant sender. If the computer thinks the car is cold it will enrich the fuel mixutre. The senders are easy to check i'd give them a try.
