It's most definitely not as stiff as the coilover kits.  The coilover kits
come with 400 lb/in and 300 lb/in springs, while most aftermarket lowering
springs are about half that.  The cup kit also uses progressive rate
springs, for better damping of small bumps.  The cup kit's closest
relative is probably H&R springs with bilstein struts.  The bilsteins are
probably slightly higher quality, but the difference won't be huge.  If
the kit is as well matched as H&R says it is, or, if it as as well matched
as their coilover kits- it definitely sounds like a good deal. :)

That's the best value you're going to find too.. you could go with cheaper
shocks and struts like kyb's or tokico's, but I doubt you would be as
happy with them.  Plus, the price won't be that much less.
