Whatever you do, please do not blame Boge Progas on your current problems with a blown strut/bouncy ride.
I currently have HoR Technology springs on some Boge TurboGas struts, and the ride is bouncy and sucks big time. The Boges are fairly new (5k miles), but the Hor springs are fairly old. Let me be the first to tell you that these springs SUCK big time! My front-end floats real bad when I hit wide dips/hills. The springs are not doing their job, and it is causing the struts to work extra hard. I know several people who use Boge TurboGas or ProGas with much success. You definitely shouldn't be using a lowering spring with the ProGas because they are not well suited for each other. It is just like cuting springs on your stock suspension, which will shorten the life dramatically. Please use TurboGas for lowering applications. Hor Tech springs suck, and Autotech sells them... so stay away. I can't wait to swap mine out with some decent springs, before my Boges start leaking like yours did. I will probably go with H&R or Neuspeed when I save up enough money. On a side note: Boges are made by Sach, and I believe the H&R Cup Kit uses special valved Sach struts with H&R springs. Anyways... good luck with your strut/spring decision. -Chuck -----Original Message----- From: Jesse T Walz To: a2list Sent: 6/25/01 9:57 AM Subject: Re: What suspension to get? In my opinion stay away from Boge Progas. I currently have Boge Progas with Hor springs and they are shot. The PO installed them and they are only about 2 1/2 years old. I believe these are meant for a stock spring height. My front end currently is very bouncy over large bumps at speed. This is very annoying. Also I just noticed that one front is starting to leak. I am currently planning to go with H&R sport springs or race, with Koni adjustables. This will be more expensive, but I believe worth it in the long run. I won't be able to get these until after I close on my house though. My first one I can't wait, but it is cutting into my car budget though :( Have to make sacrifices somewhere.
