I use Amsoil 15-40. I change it every 4-5k miles, along with a Mahle or Mann oil filter. This oil is not cheap though, approx. $6.50/quart. BTW, its a 91 jetta gli 16v.
Now I need to find a good 5-40 for my 2001 golf gls 1.8t that is nearing it's 10,000 oil change. I was looking at that Voll-synthese that AAB has on their web site. Any thoughts on it? I have used other Lubro-Moly products and found them all to be very good (e.g. Tacky Lube, Zinc spray, Anti seize, Auto Electric Spray). Any thoughts on Lubro-Moly products?
