The companies, both of which own refining, distribution and retail operations around the world have merged their operations. There is only one company now. It would be reasonable to assume that some of the operations will be redundant in nature and end up being sold off - clearly in the retail end of things, having a Mobil station right across the street from an Exxon station won't make much sense from a business perspective.

Do you guys really not read newspapers? None of this is a secret.
