I use Amsoil as well albeit their 5w-30 diesel oil in both of my diesels (turbo and normally aspirated) and in my racecar. I'm "testing" their 20w-50 in my BMW but since it gets driven so infrequently, it's sitting more than it's testing. A friend uses 5w-30 Amsoil in his 1.8T Golf and doesn't have any complaints (yet).
Amsoil's claim to fame is that they have the best additive pack in the industry.
