I use Amsoil as well albeit their 5w-30 diesel oil in both of my
diesels (turbo and normally aspirated) and in my racecar.  I'm
"testing" their 20w-50 in my BMW but since it gets driven so
infrequently, it's sitting more than it's testing.  A friend uses
5w-30 Amsoil in his 1.8T Golf and doesn't have any complaints (yet). 


Amsoil's claim to fame is that they have the best additive pack in
the industry.  Unfortunately they only sell their product using what
amounts to a pyramid scheme that's like Amway's sales technique.
