Took a few at the track. It's amazing how interested they are in what you have under the hood after you beat them. My GTI hangs with them all day long as long as they're pretty close to stock. Against a tuned 5.0 however, a 16v doesn't stand a chance. There's lots of easy, cheap power to be extracted from them, and anyone that tunes them takes advantage of this. I know I'm gonna get a verbal bashing by the more responsible people on the list for this, but I was right behind one on Saturday morning on the way back from the VW dealership from 0 up until 110 when he let off. When I pulled up beside him he was laughing hard and gave me the thumbs up. At least he was cool about it, a lot of 5.0 owners get pissed when a 4 banger can hang with them.
